2021
Passing the torch
In the summer of 2021, the torch was passed on from father to son and Frédéric Haven became the new CEO of FRENICO, replacing Christiaan Haven after . At the same time, the Co. acquired a new equity partner and changed its address to a new infrastructure in Wortegem-Petegem, to distribute more ‘hot items’ next to its consultancy activities.
Now equipped with a modern logistical setup, plenty of space and the possibility to handle containers up to 24 tons, FRENICO is fully prepared to expand with its unity of talents, long-standing customer relationships and unparalleled supplier network of consumer electronics.
2018
Havani
A 2nd company, Havani BV, was launched to market High-end design tables under a new label: HAVANI. This proof of concept grew from the idea to create a new luxurious brand of emotionally approached end-products. We chose tables as a product and had to work out a complete NVP, the Product Design, the R&D, the Product Development, the Branding, the Content Marketing, the growth marketing, the sales generation for B2B & B2C and the internationalization to the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.

2014
New generation
Frédéric Haven, the eldest son of Christiaan Haven, participates in the Co. and FRENICO further evolves into Business Development Management. A new Sales Agency in name and on behalf of Technistone, one of Europe’s market leading brands in the engineered Quartz business, was set-up by FRENICO to consolidate the existing footprints in the north of France and Benelux region as well as analyzing and targeting all possible markets to implement customized growth tactics.

FRENICO also added Management Consultancy services for Start-Ups, developing complete Business plans, including Budgeting and P&L projections, Market Surveys, Business Model pivoting and Business Development.
2011
Crisis- and General Management
Consultancy for a UK based Distribution Co. in Natural stone, Engineered Quartz and Sintered Stone. Remapping the entire distribution model, including sub-warehouses and establishing growth rates up to 400% within 5 years.
2002
FMCG GOODS
Setting up a local distribution Network of FMC Goods, including 3 retail locations and connecting B2B channels to local restaurants.
2001
Yarn
In 2001 the Co. was performing Crisis-Management Consultancy for a Group of yarn spinning Mills in Belgium, which eventually lead to a Management buy-out under our supervision, based upon written order quantity commitments of customers, related to newly developed Yarn systems, representing a full year production capacity.
1997
Export Markets
The Co. was providing Management Consultancy services related to the starting up of a PP & PA yarns Extrusion Plant in the North of France, involving negotiations with the French Government, Product development, the setting up of the Commercial and Product Development Department, consolidating the European Markets and starting up Export Markets, enabling a full production capacity on short term notice.
1993
Frenico International bvba was founded by Christiaan Haven on 15/12/1993.
Based upon his worldwide Sales & Marketing experience, the Co. was from the start mainly involved in exploring and starting up export markets in the Middle East, Far East, Eastern Europe, Russia, USA & South America within the Textile Industry, together with providing Import-Export & Business Development Consultancy services for Dutch, American and Korean Floorcovering Manufacturers and setting up related local Sales Agencies and Distribution Channels.
